YouTube file sizes and image sizes are given here.

Here are the video and banner sizes that work best with YouTube.

The maximum size for YouTube videos is 1280 x 720 pixels. This conforms to 16:9 aspect ratio.
The banner for the top of your YouTube page should be 2048 x 1152. The optimal area for logo and text is 1235 x 338 pixels.
